Seven Day Goodbye Summer Horror Jam

You are a new guard at local "West Woods" summer camp. You job is to oversee the camp's entrance to keep anyone suspicious enough outside. Not only various weirdos are roaming around, but also scientists recently discovered creatures named "doppelgangers", who can steal your identity. You can use dialog and the News report to determine who is the doppelganger and call the police on them.

Game currently has 8 endings. They don't differ much in terms of content, but they do provide valuable context of what happened after the shift.

Awesome game, each person looks suspicious and you don't always know who of them are doppelgangers, also liked variety of the endings, and moment when doppelganger were break into your door was really creepy, one of the most disturbing moments i had in horror games. 5\5

Well that was fun, Loved the Different TV Channels.....

Hello, I played this game and I enjoyed it, good work :)

At first it was tough to identify the real threat, but i tried playing more seriously and got some fun. Here's my playthrough, it won't be public until the next 5hours due to some inconvenience, but still your game is alright.

If i have anything left to say, i'd wish you can add more stuffs to the game, maybe make a different game like this but with more action, and with better graphics i hope.

i managed to get 6 endings, will try to get the rest tomorrow, but i have a few comments about your game.

The almosphere is perhaps too dark combining with low poly graphics is just horrible, i can hardly see monsters limbs or hands especially the kind that let me know immediately which visitor is a doppelganger, which also forces me to 100% focus on the game cuz if i missed a brief second, i may end up letting one of those monsters into the camp. Sometimes visitors keep giving out the same answers 2 or 3 times even though they're not doppelganger, but it raises suspicion. Only be able to call the police once is kinda devastating as well, at least give the player 3 calls or something, but that's not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is that after playing the game serveral times, i find myself keep achieving the "no addition info ending", even when i'm not playing seriously and just let people pass when they messed up some of the answers.

So i hope you can improve something from what i've experienced, cuz this game is quite decent to some extent.

Thanks for a detailed feedback!

Monster (in it's true form) doesn't show up until the very end or until a certain conditions are met. Things and limbs you saw throughout the game are actually just harmless screamers to spice things up. The only clue of who is a doppelganger besides dialog is a TV broadcast that triggers automatically and gives away general info about the suspect (sex or maybe clothes). Sorry for a partly misleading description of the game.

As for the police, the reason why it can be called only once is that it arrives before the intended ending of the game and calling it several times would break the game. Calling police on the right person is a winnig condition and therefore should not be something you are supposed to do on the first playthrough or by a random chance.

Several similar anwsers is a bug and not a sign of a doppelganger. It will soon be fixed with a next update.

Also you didn't mention controls. Were they intuitive? Most of the people who we saw play this game seemed to have trouble interacting with ingame systems.

Edit: Game received an update. If you are still interested in playing we suggest to play on updated version. It fixes some game-breaking bugs and changes control scheme.

I was getting used to the controls of the game, but welp seems like other people couldn't get used to that and made you change it, but that's just minor inconvenience, my first thought was you should let players look around by moving the mouse instead of using arrow keys or wasd. And i just played the updated version, seems to be better but still unluckily stuck at "no addition info" ending, guess i'll will have to let some monster in. But may i ask that is there more than one doppelganger that you can let them in or just one? I remember getting a 2 dead victims ending then got a massacre ending, that was in the previous version, also in the ending that has 2 dead victims, i stayed in the booth for longer than usual, no cars, no people showed up, then i decided to call the police and ended up getting that ending, probably a bug but real weird.

Currently only one doppelganger can be present in a playthrough. Most of the game endings are tied to what you did about that person. We will add a post listing all of the endings and how to get them.

Thanks, btw i just got the massacre ending again, but was it updated? Last time i got this ending the screen just turned black and changed to the broadcast message, this time i got a dopppelganger killing me for real, is there any other endings that got changed or it's all like this from the start?

Massacre ending was bugged and now it works as intended. As far as i now it is the only one that has changed.

is the resolution supposed to be this shit? D:

(+1)

Yes, it does. It was our artistic vision of the game and the game itself was designed for that resolution. Was it a major inconvenience during gameplay or you just didn't like it?

Thanks for the reply, I didn't really expect one seeing as my comment looked more like a shitpost lmao. But no, I thought it was just a problem on my end because I have these troubles every once in a while, but after playing for a couple of minutes, it did dawn on me that it looked better and better as time went on, I respect the artistic choice and meant no offense on your game, I loved the gameplay and now the art style!
